“OCEANSIDE WEALTH - DEFINITIONS”
These definitions have been complied to assist anyone who is having a bit of a hard time understanding Oceanside Wealth as a business or the individual parts of it. If you are a bit fuzzy on any part of the program, try reading through this and see if it helps.
The definitions have been put in Question and Answer format to try to make it a bit more interesting. You are encouraged to study these definitions one at a time, in sequence, then study them again. As you understand one term better, others will seem more clear and simple. Once you have been through these definitions several times, you should have a excellent basic grasp of what Oceanside Wealth is and how it works.
Things you read on the website and in the forum will then make more sense to you and this will make it easier for you to invite others to the program (if you wish to do so). You will know what you are talking about and what you are hearing from others in the program. This will increase your potential income from this business as well and that is after all why we are here!
What is Forex?
Forex is a contraction of ‘foreign exchange’ and refers to the trading (exchange) of currencies in pairs. A currency is simply the money of a particular country, such as the US dollar, NZ dollar, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar, British pound, the euro, etc.
An example of a forex trade would be purchasing $10,000 in Canadian dollars using US dollars to buy them. In essence you are buying one currency and selling the other at the same time.
Forex trading is always done like this in ‘pairs’, selling one currency and buying the other. If the Canadian dollar then rises in value compared to the US dollar (a common thing in recent years) then the trader makes money. If the US dollar rises in relation to the Canadian dollar then the trader loses money.
So how does a trader make sure he makes money? There are very specific indicators and techniques used in forex trading that tell a trader when to enter a trade and when to exit. There is heavy use of charts to spot trends as well as use of economic data that reflect the world markets as well as the sentiments of investors in the world markets. An expert trader knows the markets and indicators cold and knows when to trade and when not to.
The forex market is the largest in the world, with over $1 TRILLION dollars per DAY changing hands! This is bigger than all stock markets in the world combined.
To have the best chances of success in this volatile market, an expert forex trader is needed and a ‘managed account’ is needed. Historically only 5% of forex traders who enter into this market make money on a regular basis. The remainder simply lose their money. Sad but true. In Oceanside wealth we are fortunate to have an expert trader with much experience who has proven himself as capable of making consistent gains for us.
Forex traders often use forex software that has built in charts and various indicators that alert the forex trader when to buy or sell. Some software can automatically trigger buys and sells without intervention from the trader. This helps keep EMOTION out of the trading - a major killer of forex traders.
Some software is better than others. Oceanside Wealth has an institutional grade (top quality, as used in large institutions) forex software program that is equivalent to that used by major banks to trade forex. The software is said to be valued at $60 million because normally you would have to pay this amount for a license to use this type of software. JD and his team happen to know the developers of this software and did not have to pay anything near this amount to be able to use it, however, they still ended up spending over $30,000 to set up this forex opportunity for us.
Oceanside Wealth is mainly about building a forex account and benefiting from the trading on a month by month basis. And it takes a good trader with the tools of his trade in hand to accomplish this for us.
What is a ‘Managed Forex Account’?
When the average person enters the forex field to try to make a profit he has two options. One is to set up his own account and do his or her own trades based on their understanding of the market and various indicators. As covered above, this is very risky and only 5% of all people who begin trading forex ever make money over a long period. So this is not an option for Oceanside Wealth.
Therefore, the second option is to seek out an experienced forex trader who has been trained on the techniques and skills necessary to win in forex over a longer time period. Funds are invested with such a trader and this person does all the analysis and calls the shots on the trades (with the help of the trading software). With this arrangement, the person investing in this market (us in Oceanside) have a better chance to make money.
Oceanside Wealth has such a trader who has proven over a 15 month period that he can make consistent profits between 10% and 20% per month. This does not guarantee he will continue to do so, as past performance can never be used as a basis of any future guaranteed returns. But the experienced forex trader uses safety techniques (including the software) in trading that protect the overall account from large losses. Only a small percentage of the account is traded at any one time and trades are set up in a way to produce maximum gains with minimum risk. The trader will win trades and lose trades. No one wins every time. But the experienced pro treats the trading as a marathon, not a sprint, and makes steady gains over the months.

In the front-end of Oceanside (the first thing you see when you join) we have what is called a ‘matrix’. Many people have been confused about this. The matrix is only there to help people get into and take advantage of the forex part of the program, which is the meat and potatoes.
What is a Matrix?
This is a term you will see a lot in this program because it forms the front end of the program (the back end being the main part of the program - the forex trading).
The basic definitions of MATRIX as found on the Internet (Google search)are: ‘A rectangular array of numbers, letters, or other entities arranged in rows and columns.’ ‘A situation or surrounding substance within which something develops or is contained, an enclosure within which something originates or develops’. The word matrix comes from the Latin word for ‘womb’, where a baby develops.
So a matrix can be seen to be an enclosure into which things are embedded and arranged in rows and columns and in which something develops. In our case we have an enclosure (a patterned chart or grid) with SPOTS or LOCATIONS in this grid or chart where people entering the program are placed one under the other (in columns) and one beside the other (in rows).
We have what is called a 2×10 matrix. This means that each person has 2 people directly below them and it goes down 10 levels like that. You are at the top of your matrix. Under you on your FIRST LEVEL there are two people. Each of those two have two under them making 4 people on your SECOND LEVEL. Under each of those 4 there are two making eight people on your THIRD LEVEL. And so it goes down 10 levels. Each time the number of people DOUBLES as you go down to the next level. That is a 2×10 matrix.
Some programs have what is called a 3×9 matrix. This means that instead of your FIRST LEVEL being 2 people it is 3. And each of those have three under them making 9 on the SECOND LEVEL. And each of those have 3 under them making 27 on your THIRD LEVEL and so on.
Oceanside Wealth uses a 2×10 matrix as it is a lot smaller and more manageable for building teams like we are doing. For example, a 2×10 matrix has a total of 2046 people: (2+4+8+16+32+64+128+256+512+1024 = 2046).
In contrast, a program with a 3×9 matrix is many times larger and gets very unrealistic for a team to fill: (3+9+27+81+243+729+2187+6561+19683 = 29,523).
So again, a matrix is an enclosure (in our case a grid or chart) into which other things are embedded (in our case positions/people) in rows and columns (we have people beside others in rows making LEVELS and in columns of a sort, doubling on each level on the way down). Thus a TEAM develops in a matrix by constantly doubling at each LEVEL, much the way a baby develops in the womb with cells splitting and doubling. Thus the word matrix is derived from the Latin ‘womb’
What is a Company-forced Matrix?
This is a matrix that is filled by the efforts of the whole company and all members of it inviting people into the program. The people invited just go into the next available slot in the matrix, left to right, regardless of who invited them. Once the first level is filled, the next level starts to fill from left to right, etc. In the case of Oceanside Wealth, the first 10 levels of the matrix (2046 positions) were filled in this way within days of the launch. We are now into the second stage, the team-forced matrix.
What is a Team-forced Matrix?
This is similar to a company forced matrix except now instead of the whole company being involved there are TEAMS within the company under team leaders who are each filling their own matrix. Each matrix is a TEAM.
A main difference in the team-forced matrix is that the people invited into the business by a particular person do go under that person, left to right in their own part of the team matrix. Each person starting in also starts their own matrix, so we actually have matrices within matrices that interact. To understand this fully you have to understand the concept of spillover and how it works in Oceanside Wealth.
What is spillover?
Spillover is defined (Wiktionary - on line free dictionary) as ‘that which overflows, the excess or side effect’. In our case in Oceanside Wealth, we have an overflow that results in a great ’side effect’ (positions filled for others). A side effect is defined (also in Wiktionary) as ‘an unintended consequence of any action in addition to the intended consequence of that action’.
For example, you invite someone into the program and they are placed on your matrix in level 2. At the same time (since your matrix is interconnected with the person above you and below you in the overall team matrix) we have the side effect that this also fills a position in the matrix of your up line on their level 3 and ALSO fills a spot in your immediate down line’s matrix in their level 1!! So the addition of only ONE person to the program fills a spot in the matrix of more than one member! This is truly a case of 1+1 can equal a lot more than 2! Talk about side effects!
It actually gets even more powerful than that when we are looking at the effects over a whole up line/down line consisting of, say, 6 levels. When a person at level 5 of a team matrix adds a person under them, this can fill a level 4 slot for their up line and a level 3 slot for the up line above them, a (if there is such a slot to be filled). As you can see, filling one spot can help SEVERAL fellow members to fill their matrices.
So if you encourage your down line to invite even ONE person once in a while, you will personally benefit from spillover. And if you work with your up line and down line and you are all constantly plotting how to each get at least ONE MORE invited into the program, you will be creating spillover for each other in addition to filling your matrix! Side effects. And these side effects will INCREASE YOUR INCOME!
As an important note on this, if you are sitting there right now waiting for spillover from your up line and it is not happening, try reversing the flow. Invite a couple of people into the program and put them under you in the matrix. As you can see from the examples above, that action will create the side effect of spillover for your up line! And when your up line sees this happening, he or she will likely pick up the ball and get a little more interested in inviting others in. This will give you spillover too.
You have to plant a corn seed before you can have corn. You only reap what you sow. That is natural law. So sow some seeds of spillover as above and you will soon enough reap the same. And what’s more, you will be creating a TEAM. Before you know it you will be getting spillover from your up line as well as THOSE YOU PUT UNDER YOU! And everyone wins and earns more matrix income into their forex accounts! Natural law!
What is a ‘customer’ and what is a ‘distributor’ in Oceanside Wealth and what is the difference?
A ‘distributor’ is a member who participates in the matrix with the idea of possibly receiving a benefit from overspill and/or from inviting others, thus acting as a distributor for Oceanside Wealth products. The basic Oceanside products are training (on forex and marketing) and the forex platform.
If someone really understands the program and is benefiting from it, it is extremely unlikely that he or she would spend a long time without inviting someone else to experience the profits they are enjoying. So most people into Oceanside Wealth will be distributors.
A ‘customer’ is someone who has determined they will only invest in the forex aspect of the program. They do not show up in the matrix and receive no benefits from the matrix. They do however pay the $60 monthly fee like any other member.
What are ‘up line distributors’ and ‘up line sponsorship distributors’ and what is the difference?
‘Up line sponsorship distributors’ are the up line (persons above you in the matrix) that got you involved in the program. Your direct sponsor is your immediate ‘up line sponsorship distributor’. He/she is the person that invited you to the program. Each person was sponsored by someone and that goes right up in a chain to JD and his team (who you see labeled as ‘corp’ for corporate in your back office).
‘Up line distributors’ are people who ended up directly above you in the overall company matrix simply because of the force-filled nature of the company matrix as covered above. You ended up below them even though they had nothing to do with getting you into the program.
In the company-forced matrix that formed the first 10 levels of the company-wide matrix, every new person just came in and went into the next slot, left to right, one right after the other. So you did not end up necessarily under the person who sponsored you in. This is only the case for people who joined during the first few days of the company formed matrix.
So in this case, the team above you is now who you will work with in order to mutually benefit from the filling of the matrix. When you fill a spot in your matrix, it also fills a spot in their matrix.
Your immediate ‘up line distributor’ is one level above you in the overall company-forced matrix. Your level 2 is their level 3, so when you fill a spot in your level 2, it fills a spot in their level 3 and YOU are giving THEM spillover (as covered above as well). When they fill a spot in their level 3, it fills a spot in your level 2 and so on. This is them giving you spillover. It works both ways. And when you fill a spot in your level 2, it also fills a spot in the LEVEL 1 of the person below you. Thus you are the ‘up line distributor’ for the person directly below you in the matrix.
If you still are not tracking with this concept, you may want to draw out a diagram to see how the overall matrix works and how it relates to YOUR matrix and to the matrix of the persons above and below you.
What is Marketing?
Marketing is the action or process of researching, promoting, selling and distributing products and services. It is a broad field that includes expert packaging and pricing of services, promotion, sales and distribution.
In Oceanside Wealth it includes the creation of websites to advertise the program and subsequently finding places to promote your website link such as applicable forums, free traffic sites, blogs, non-spam e-mails, etc.
There is a whole forum full of techniques, advertising sources, advice on how to create a website and which companies to use, etc. The Team Avalanche forum here is a great place to become a skilled marketer! In fact it is part of what you pay for with your $60 per month membership fee! And once you have acheived skill in marketing this program, you now have a skill for life and can market other programs to increase your income streams!
The truth is that the main difference between a poor business and a good one or a good business and a phenomenal one (assuming a decent product or service) is exactly and only MARKETING.
The difference between a person who makes money online and one who does not is only their ability to MARKET. There are many good products and services on the Internet and many good affiliate programs. The people who make money online know how to market. Those who make no money don’t. Learn marketing and you can make a lot of money. You have all the backup in the world right here in the forum.
What is MLM (Multi Level Marketing)?
A Multilevel marketing business is any business where payouts occur at two or more levels. You make a sale and both you and the person(s) above you in the company will get a portion of the total commission. This is a way of selling goods or services through independent distributors who can build, train and motivate their own teams and manage them. You can receive commissions for your own sales as well as the sales of those in your team. This encourages team leaders to build teams to increase their profit potential above what it would be if they depended only on their own sales commissions.
Multi-level marketing is perfectly legal and very useful in building a business rapidly. It is valid as a tool as long as the emphasis is on the sale of your products or services to the broad public.
Oceanside Wealth is a valid MLM business that pays on multiple levels based on its matrix. The whole reason for the matrix however is to get people involved in the real product of the business, which is education on the forex market and participation in forex trading via their own personal managed account (which is in turn built from matrix profits or personal investment of funds).
MLM has fallen into disrepute at times as some programs are formed as illegal ‘pyramid schemes’. These can be spotted easily as they rely heavily on recruitment of new investors or down line to make money without regard for the sale and distribution of the underlying product or service that should be the whole point of the business!
What is Network Marketing?
This applies to a business in which a distribution network is needed or is used to build the business. Many on line businesses use this concept to grow their businesses much more rapidly than they could solely through individual company promotion and sales.
A network saves a lot of work for management as they can have a whole army of affiliates or representatives promoting and selling their product, thus giving the product or service much greater exposure and sales. Network marketing businesses are often MLM in nature as payouts occur at more than one level.
What is ‘offshore’?
Offshore, in financial or investment terms, does not mean in ‘the middle of sea or ocean’ as is often pictured. It means anything that is outside of the physical boundaries of a certain country.
When we say offshore we are usually referring to something (such as investments, business or banking) that exists or takes place outside of the physical boundaries of the USA or Canada or other high-tax nation that at times is invasive of your personal or financial privacy through excessive reporting requirements or taxation. There are many ways to invest or do business legally offshore.
Investing ‘offshore’ gives an advantage of protecting your assets from a society that has gone crazy on legal actions. 90% of international litigation occurs in the USA for example and historically there is a 33% chance that sometime in your life, if you are a business person in the US, someone will try to sue you.
When or if this ever happens, you will want to have a good percentage of your assets offshore. This gives those assets a layer of protection, as lawyers for example are less enthusiastic about going after offshore assets and often drop cases like this in favor of easier (onshore) targets with deep pockets. Highly paid professionals that deal directly with the public (such as doctors) are the most attacked in this regard, but anyone or any business that makes a significant income can become a target.
What is Oceanside Wealth?
This has been defined last as it requires an understanding of all the terms and concepts above in order to get a full grasp of it.
Oceanside Wealth is a Panama based (offshore) corporation that combines an advanced forex trading platform with network marketing to form an effective business model where the average person can accumulate a significant compounded forex trading account with minimal investment of personal funds.
It allows average members to become extraordinary by developing their marketing skills to leverage the power of a team-forced matrix to create funds to invest in forex, both for themselves and for their teams. Forex is a very powerful vehicle for creating wealth and would be a good part of anyone’s diversified financial portfolio.
